About Chris

Chris Ward is an independent computer consultant in the Minneapolis/St.Paul area. He has a passion for computers that is far reaching. Using the best tools for the job has led to Chris running Linux based NAS and MythTV boxes at home, Wordpress on this site, as well as Windows and Mac's for fun and development work.

Chris has experience using several different development environments including TogetherSoft and Eclipse. Using both open source and commercial tools, he has built solutions for many government and commercial entities.

He has built GUI apps in Java with Swing and SWT. He has created many web apps using Java, PHP, HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

Chris understands the full lifecycle of a project, and understands project management, communicating, and how to work with groups of people and clients to ensure a successful project.
