I am starting to tire of the places that I can get to within a short walk from work. One of the places that I frequent though, is Mears Park.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"425\" height=\"350\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" marginheight=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?f=q&amp;source=s_q&amp;hl=en&amp;geocode=&amp;q=mears+park,+st.paul,+minnesota&amp;sll=44.915207,-93.26427&amp;sspn=0.007005,0.013947&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;ll=44.94912,-93.08893&amp;spn=0.006295,0.006295&amp;output=embed\"><\/iframe><br \/><small><a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?f=q&amp;source=embed&amp;hl=en&amp;geocode=&amp;q=mears+park,+st.paul,+minnesota&amp;sll=44.915207,-93.26427&amp;sspn=0.007005,0.013947&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;ll=44.94912,-93.08893&amp;spn=0.006295,0.006295\" style=\"color:#0000FF;text-align:left\">View Larger Map<\/a><\/small><\/p>\n<p>This is one place that is great to come to in the Spring\/Early Summer. This park attracts lots of people from the surrounding office buildings and people from the near by condos walking their dogs. There is a little fake creek running down the middle, and all around this creek and the outside are flower gardens.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/v3ggi32u\/3617999201\/\" class=\"tt-flickr tt-flickr-Medium\" title=\"Columbine\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3359\/3617999201_e012e7ca50.jpg?resize=334%2C500\" alt=\"Columbine\" width=\"334\" height=\"500\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>These gardens are kept in beautiful condition by a crew of volunteers. A person or group of people are assigned to each flower bed section. I was talking to one woman there recently that said there was a waiting list. How about that. A waiting list of people wanting to work for free.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/v3ggi32u\/3618820434\/\" class=\"tt-flickr tt-flickr-Medium\" title=\"Peonies\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3298\/3618820434_0cc8abab0f.jpg?resize=500%2C500\" alt=\"Peonies\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>So this tends to be a spot that I can come to several times a week even, and just walk around, and take some pictures. It&#8217;s amazing how comeing back just a day or two later and I will see new flowers that strike me that didn&#8217;t the day before.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/v3ggi32u\/3618820408\/\" class=\"tt-flickr tt-flickr-Medium\" title=\"DSC_2371\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3321\/3618820408_f9b506f838.jpg?resize=500%2C500\" alt=\"DSC_2371\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>So, if you live or work in St.Paul, I would suggest you stop by some day that you look outside and wish you were anywhere but inside.
